what is “sliding scale?”

I believe learning should be for everyone, and not just for those who have the means. For each workshop, I offer two pricing options to make learning more accessible. This includes a few slots for low income and senior citizens. Those who can pay the full price of workshops on the higher end of the scale help cover costs for tickets on the lower end of the scale. I trust that those who can pay the higher scale will do so.

This is my first step restructuring my courses regarding affordability, and so I realize it may not be perfect. If you have any questions about sliding scale or are having a challenge paying for a class, you can always email me at saritaferments@gmail.com.

registration & refund policy.

I often spend weeks preparing for workshops. Gathering materials, preparing course content, contacting farmers for vegetables sourcing, the list goes on. I do my best to make your workshop experience both valuable and enjoyable. With that, please be committed to attending the workshop you registered for. I will email everyone a day or so before the class with final details, but definitely add it to your calendar and set a reminder. It will help!

Due to the curation of materials and preparation, I cannot take walkups on the day of a workshop. You must have a ticket already purchased.

If you aren’t able to make it, then please let me know as soon as possible. If you cancel at least 48 hours or more before the class, then you can either be refunded the full amount or opt to have your class payment applied to a future workshop.

a canceled workshop….

In the unfortunate event that I must cancel a workshop on my end (i.e. family emergency, serious illness, dangerous weather conditions, or simply low workshop registration), I will notify all attendees as soon as possible. Everyone will have the option to be either fully refunded or credited for a future workshop.
